Cover Letter / Curriculum Vitae Review

The Cover Letter / Letter of Intent and your Curriculum Vitae (CV) / Resume are often the first two pieces of documentation that a prospective Employer will review about you. They are a reflection of you, your education, experiences, body of work, and also lay out your goals in trying to obtain the specific job you are applying to. Because of this, it is vital that these documents are as pristine as possible in their grammar, organization, and focus. Further, they needs to be a true representation of you and your desire to obtain the job that this Cover Letter and CV are being put forth to.

If you have not read THIS ARTICLE by Dr. Lowell Weil JR from Podiatry Today in 2016, I suggest you do so as the points seems basic, but obviously are missed by many applying for jobs from his experience.

In the following pages, I include some personal information about how to compile a Cover Letter and CV based on experience, recommendations given to me, and a variety of online resources on this topic by various medical websites. While much of this information is not directed to podiatry, the points are universal to those in the medical profession.
